Volunteering at FirstServe
There are several ways to get involved with FirstServes’ mission to care for elders.
One way is to be an advocate through our Caring Companions program.
Another way may be to join the team of volunteers! Maybe you have a professional skill and would like to present helpful knowledge to seniors.
Volunteering with FirstServe DOES count for volunteer hours.
Being an Advocate
Advocates volunteer to accompany seniors to medical appointments, and advocate for better connections with healthcare providers and medical offices.
Volunteers are trained in effective listening and responding, and how to support elders in their interactions with healthcare professionals.
