About FirstServe

Since its inception in 2005, FirstServe Senior Services of the South Bay (aka FirstServe) has served the South Bay region of Los Angeles County by providing programs that promote education, wellness and dignity for our senior community.

Based in Torrance, California, the work of caring for seniors and those who love them finds its ultimate expression in companionship. Our current and emerging programs, centered in serving the needs and aspirations of our senior community, build relationships, strengthen friendship and family bonds, and assist elders in achieving greater physical, emotional and social wellness.

To accomplish this mission, we offer these specific programs:

Caring CompanionsAn emerging program with a two-pronged approach aimed at improving seniors' access to care and providing critical support to their families.

Hope Circle Dementia Monthly online groups providing support for those caring for loved ones with cognitive decline, dementia and other memory care issues.

Hope Circle Grief Support GroupMonthly online groups providing support for those struggling with grief, loss and other life issues. This virtual conversation group helps participants discover fresh hope in the midst of life’s struggles, griefs and losses, seeking pathways for hope.
